Learn to climb with safety, self-sufficiency, and sound judgment—from the basics to multi-pitch, traditional climbing, and self-rescue.
Your path to autonomy in climbing
You might want to learn how to climb on natural rock with safety and good habits from day one. Or perhaps you already climb and feel ready to take the step into multi-pitch, place your own protection, or gain the skills to deal with unexpected situations on the wall.
From basics of climbing to self-rescue on multi-pitch routes, I design practical, progressive courses so that every technique makes sense in a real situation. The goal is clear: to gain self-reliance, judgment, and peace of mind when you’re out there.

- Setting up a top anchor.
Bolted multi-pitch climbing
APPROXIMATE DURATION
2 days, 8 + 8h
GROUP TYPE
4 people to form 2 rope teams.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Previous experience recommended: confidently leading 6a on rock.

Day 1: practical session on rock.
- Techniques on bolted multi-pitch: rope team dynamics, building anchors, climbing physics, abseiling and other bailing options.
- Planning: route selection, partners, gear, and choosing the right day.
- Moving in the mountains: approach, finding the route, descent (abseil), and appropriate gear.
Day 2:
You will climb a multi-pitch route under my supervision.

- Practice on single-pitch routes.
- Planning: reading topos, route selection, partners, gear, and finding the route.
Day 2:
You will climb a traditional route under my supervision.
Self-rescue 1: Skills to solve unexpected situations with an uninjured partner
APPROXIMATE DURATION
1 day of 8h
GROUP TYPE
4 people to form 2 rope teams.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Able to use a Reverso to belay a leader and abseil.
CONTENT
- Advanced belaying: locking off a Grigri/Reverso and belaying when the device is lost.
- Controlled descent: lowering from an unreliable anchor, abseiling with a rope that is too short, mid-route abseil without leaving gear, abseiling on a tensioned rope.
- Controlled ascent: ascending a single fixed rope (second falls out of the climbable line), ascending a double rope (snags, searching for the next anchor).
Self-rescue 2: Rescue of an injured climber on a multi-pitch route
APPROXIMATE DURATION
2 days, 8 + 8h
GROUP TYPE
4 people to form 2 rope teams.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
It is recommended to have led several bolted multi-pitch routes.

- Gear: uses and limitations of belay/rappel devices, releasable systems, ascenders, and pulleys.
- Self-ascent and descent: passing knots/anchors, switching from descent to ascent and vice versa.
- Raising a victim (2 methods) and lowering a victim (2 methods).
- Problem-solving scenarios combining these variables: role of the victim, condition of the victim, direction.
REQUIRED GEAR
Minimum personal gear for each course. Group equipment is provided by the instructor.
Let me know what gear you have and I will help complete it so nothing is missing.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE
Each course provides the knowledge required to move on to the next. If you already apply the content of a course independently, you are welcome to join the next one!
